Self described "occult murder pop" band Cvlt Ov The Svn just dropped an unofficial cover of Type O Negative classic "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend". I've been a fan of this band since they dropped their first single for their "We Are The Dragon" album that came out back in 2021, so I was definitely excited to see something new from them, and even more so that it's a cover of this song. I frickin love it! It has that dark eerie sound they have in all their work. They totally took this song and made it theirs, but still did an honorable tribute to the original. The keyboard work was especially noticeable, it's almost more melodic in a way than the original. Less shrill of a sound. But in other parts they also subtracted a lot of the keyboard sounds and replaced it with guitars, and focused more on the vocals, which I also really liked. Absolutely not questioning the genius of Type O. I'd never do that. But. This cover is so elegant and well executed. I absolutely love it. I highly recommend checking this one out. ~Gangis
