This new song from Scary Black is a perfect example of sometimes, less is more. The lyrics are pretty simple, the music itself isn't extremely complex. And yet this song is absolutely fantastic. It's so good! The words have a good message, and are beautifully delivered. The voice itself is both velvety smooth yet also has a bit of a raw edge to it. Paired with a classic goth industrial type beat and some gorgeous synth sounds, this song is a whole experience. It's only four and a half minutes long, but it's crafted in a way that it feels like it's a lot longer. It takes some serious skill to be able to pull that off. The song is about essentially about believing your own truth, and not what people say about you. Nobody is perfect, but everyone has purpose and meaning. Definitely something more people need to remember. This song is just so powerful. I love it!
