Leaether Strip - Bela Lugosi's Dead (Single Review)

The one and only Leaether Strip has released a cover of the Bauhaus's legendary "Bela Lugosi's Dead" .As everyone knows this is one of, if not the absolute first actual goth song, so it takes some serious balls to cover it, and Claus definitely did not disappoint. The original is of course an absolute classic, but at around fifteen minutes long, its a bit much. So the first thing I really liked about this cover is that it clocks in at only a hair over five minutes. It hits every note it needs to pay proper homage to the original, but with a faster tempo and Claus's signature vocals, it's an absolute hit! I highly recommend checking it out, but only if you've got enough room to dance, because you can't listen to it sitting still. I also love the art for this single. It's kind of abstract, very interesting, and looks like an undead fine art piece or something. This is definitely one of the best covers I've heard in a hot minute, and I highly recommend checking it out.
