October Noir & Denis Pauna - If Type O Negative Wrote Nights in White Satin

Updated: Apr 16, 2022

First of all..... a collab by two of my favorite Type O sound-a-like artists?! Holy shit! I knew this was gonna be good, but I didn't realize exactly how good! Wow! It's incredible! This was definitely a perfect song to put into this style, having such a melancholy type mood and all. They absolutely nailed it! They took one of the most recognizable Moody Blues hits and shed some creepy green light on it in the best of ways. The guitar solo translated so well. The harmonizing of their vocals adds a new depth to the song, and puts so much darker emotion into it. The addition of the keys and the thudding bassline just add so many different elements that not only add to the Type O vibe, but also just add to the song in general. Translating the flute line into keys and guitar was absolute genius. This just completely blew me away. I don't even know what else to say other than holy shit! Pete and Type O live on! This perfectly captured the spirit of Type O. I thought October Noir and Denis separately were incredible already, but together, they're just totally mindblowing. I love this so much, it moved me to tears. You gotta check it out. ~Gangis
