Bulgarian atmospheric metal trio Obsidian Sea dropped a new single yesterday titled "I Love The Woods". What a killer track! It's both super heavy, but also very chill. That guitar line in the beginning instantly drew me in, followed by some riffs that are wonderfully fuzzy, and a magnificent guitar solo. This pairs beautifully with the vocals, which are only present for about half the song. This a very instrument driven song, and that's something I really like. The vocals have a very old school feel to them, which I appreciate. The drums are also great, and accentuate the rest of the sounds very nicely. The video itself shows some gorgeous shots of the forest, rocky mountaintops, and puddles, all cut in a very artistic way with shots of the band. This is a perfect song for just chilling out and vibing. If you've had a rough day, it's exactly the sort of track you need. I highly recommend checking it out. This song comes off of their "Pathos" album that's set to come out on February 4th from Ripple Music, and I am very much looking forward to hearing the rest of this album. ~Gangis
