Interview with SINthetik Messiah!

Introduce yourself to the readers

Hey there! I'm Bug Gigabyte, the multi instrumentalist, engineer and driving force behind the international act, SINthetik Messiah. I’m based in Lafayette, Louisiana, USA and I am a certified Cajun. My band has seen success with tracks that have charted on iTunes and Bandcamp. We've been featured in Orkus Magazine, Sonic Seducer, Sideline Magazine, Gothic Girl Magazine, Regen Magazine, and more.

Our music spans diverse remixes and original compositions released in collaboration with leading labels such as Darktunes Compilations, Metropolis Records, Plasmapool Records, Sideline Magazine Compilations, DSBP Records Compilations, Crl Studios, and Wicked Wonderland Records.

My band’s sound blends industrial, electro, dance, rock, ambient, and pop elements. The band's name, a deliberate misspelling of "synthetic messiah," reflects our unique pronunciation and style.

I am also a goth promoter and EDM DJ. Additionally, I founded a company called the Southern Electronic Music Conference, which helps new artists and producers pursue professional careers in the South. I'm also a painter and digital artist.

What inspired the title "Lies, Secrets, And Death"?

It took years of deliberation to settle on the album title, which finally dawned on me upon completing the book and getting  the mastered tracks from David Villalta (musical credits with Three 6 Mafia, Wiz Khalifa, DJ Spin and more..)

The three tracks of "Religious Soldier" embody the titles of lies, secrets, and death.

The three figures depicted in suits on the artwork further symbolize this concept.

The narrative centers on the sinister actions of a religious cult aiming to dominate the galaxy. The album features nine tracks. Nine divided by three equals three. Once again playing off the lies, secrets and death theme. One planned track was omitted to maintain thematic coherence.

How long did this album take you to make?

It took me approximately four years, intermittently, to complete everything you see here. This includes writing the book, composing the music, and handling the mixing process.

If you could summarize the main message behind this album, what would you say?

There are several underlying themes throughout. These include the consequences of excessive religious power, the mental and physical strength of women, the ways people cope with death, and the psychological impacts of war.

Why did you choose that specific historical speech for "The Lost Cognitive Fight"? How did you decide what sort of sounds to include behind JFK's voice?

When I was composing the music, I searched for historical speeches about war. JFK’s speech on war resonated with me the most in terms of its sound. Given that this is my universe, I decided to write an excerpt explaining why JFK's words endured and were carried to a new planet. Much of this is connected to the moon and the reason humanity had to find a new home on New Terra. I plan to tie this into the story later in the books.

I feel like each track on this album has a different sound from each other, but it still feels like a cohesive album. Do you have any comments about that observation?

That was intentional. The closing sound of a track and the opening sounds of each track were meant to flow together. While the drums maintain similar patterns and the BPM provides a unified structure. The variations in each track propel the story forward and set the tone for the book's chapters.

Who contributed to this album and what were their roles?

Writing, Composing,All the male vocals and mixing was all me.

David Villata mastered all the tracks using analog mastering equipment.

Counterstrike, A pioneer in the South African drum and bass scene did an incredible remix of “Religious Soldier”  Assemblage 23, A legend in the EBM scene world wide did a remix of “Assassins That Run On Faith”

The equipment I used for the album:

Digital Audio Workstation for recording, editing and mixing:

PreSonus Studio One

Software Instruments:

U-HE - Hive, Studio One - Lead Architect, Studio One - Presence, Studio One - SampleOne, Xfer Records -Serum, DistoCore - Bazz Murda

Hardware synths:

KORG US - Triton, Behringer - Crave

Real Instruments:

Fender Guitar, Ludwig Drums Drumset, Toca Hand drums

Speakers: Presonus and KRK

Headphones: Akg

How did the remix by Assemblage 23 come about?

Mr. Tom and I had been Facebook friends for a while, though it was mostly me following him as a fan. When the time came to choose someone for a remix on this album, I thought long and hard. He was at the top of the list due to his incredible talent as an engineer.

How has reception for this album been so far?

So far, I've had over seven blogs from different countries cover the release. A few physical radio stations have played some of the tracks, and DJs are spinning it on Twitch and in clubs. The first music video has already garnered over 8,000 plays on Facebook. It's still early in the release timeline. However I've received nothing but positive feedback from my peers.

Where can people follow you?

This page contains all my links. At the bottom, you'll find my social media accounts and email if you want to reach out to me anytime.

If you were an animal, which kind would you be and why?

My spirit animal is a coyote. I can't explain why. Honestly, I'd prefer to be a dragon or some Greek monster, but I suppose a coyote will do.

What do you want to say to the readers?

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you enjoy the album and book. Please share and tell your friends about this!

When you purchase the album on Bandcamp, you'll receive a digital version of the book. On Amazon, you can get the digital version with music embedded into the chapters for free with Kindle, and a paperback version is also available.

I'm currently working on the second book and album, which is set for a 2025 release. It will feature a completely different style, though it will still be industrial.

In a few months, I'll also be releasing 12 dance tracks with the German label Plasmapool. This release won't include a book; the tracks are meant to be fun and upbeat, without any real deep connections to one another.
