We were extremely grateful to be some of the first to hear the new Third Realm album, Escape Sequence! If you want to learn more about the album's creation and Third Realm, head on over here to the interview we did with them recently.
In typical Third Realm fashion, each song is stylistically and thematically distinct from the others, which is something I really like. They range from angry aggressive industrial to dreamy vampire love song to 80's inspired synthpop. Despite the style variance, the entire album still feels very cohesive. It's all dark, emotional, and technically very well done. It always wows me what a range frontman Nathan has. In this album we also have guest vocals by Ukrainian singer, Marin, which are absolutely beautifully done and mesh well with Nathan’s. We also get two remixes which are both super interesting takes on “Damage Has Been Done”.
I don't want to give away too much, but this album is fantastic from start to end. It drops on May 1st, and will be available on Bandcamp, Spotify, and all your other favorite streaming services. Since it drops on a Bandcamp Friday, you should get it there.
We really look forward to seeing Third Realm play some of the new tracks at their set on Sunday at Dark Force Fest! If you're not gonna be there, you'll seriously be missing out!
If you can't make it, crank up your stereo and dance around your kitchen or something! This album is perfect for such things, which may or may not have happened while Eryk wrote this article.
